Write API

Use the Write API to switch outlets and Controller outputs. Each call can change the equipment on site, so the Write API has its own rules.

The Write API also gives the status of your commands. These GETs also need a control token.

To add outlets and change schedules, use the Growbud app.

Available on the Edge Server only for now. Send Write API calls to https://<edge-server>:8443. They work when the internet is down, and they are free. To install it, see Get the Edge Server.

• Control token. The token must have the control scope. An Edge Server token without it gets 403. A web app token gets 401. See Authentication.
• Record. The Edge Server records each call: who, what, when and the result.
• Confirmed by the device. A command is confirmed only when the device reports the new state.
• Standby. If your Edge Server is on standby, Growbud Cloud controls the site. Each call that changes something then gets 409 managed_elsewhere.
